Unpaid Carers Crisis

THERE IS AN UNPAID CARER CRISIS

Unpaid carers provide the equivalent of £15.9bn in health and social care support and without them the system would collapse, yet they receive a fraction of the support they need.

At Lifecare we are proud to support unpaid carers in multiple capacities

We have a programme of health and wellbeing activities for unpaid carers at The LifeCare Centre in Stockbridge. This is FREE thanks to funding from Shared Care Scotland’s Short Breaks Fund.

Outreach provides one-to-one support from registered care workers. We can spend time with your loved one at your home or we can go out and about, leaving you to relax in the knowledge that they are in safe hands.

Our Help at Home service can provide relief to carers by assisting with all sorts of practical domestic tasks including cleaning, laundry, changing bedding, shopping and running errands.

Our day clubs help your loved one to get out and about, keep active and stay connected and give you the chance to get some respite from your caring role knowing that they are being well looked after.

And much more…

“It gives me a valuable break from my responsibilities as a sole full-time carer”

“It helps to have a bit of me time”

“Probably saved my life and sanity”

LifeCare services can provide care, support and respite.
