All of our staff are fully vetted as members of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. They also receive ongoing training in health and safety, dementia awareness, emergency first aid, food hygiene and other relevant courses.
Help At Home is provided by an organisation that has almost 80 years of experience, caring and supporting the people of Edinburgh, so we can draw on extensive resources and knowledge to give you the best possible support.
We’re here to help with what you need done and tailor the service to you. You may need the same tasks done at each visit but you can also just tell us what you need on the day. We can help with specific tasks our take care of full household management. Need a bit of extra help whilst family is away? We can organise that too.
We understand that Help at Home may be the first time you will have required assistance in your home and recognise it can be a little daunting, so we arrange a regular staff member to visit you, who will get to know you and understand how you like things done. If they are away, however, we will ensure that you still have the assistance you want and need.
