About The Cottage

Where we are

The Cottage is located at 53 Milton Road East, near Portobello. The club is set in a peaceful accessible building, with two cosy sitting rooms and access to outdoor space, providing a calm, welcoming environment for people living with dementia. Transport can be arranged to and from the service where needed.

What makes us special

We offer a small, friendly day service, available on week days, that is focused on wellbeing, dignity and social connection. With a high staff-to-client ratio and person-centred approach, we provide stimulating activities, trips, and nutritious meals, while also offering valuable respite for unpaid carers.

How to access support

The Cottage welcomes adults 50+ who are living with dementia. Private places: Contact LifeCare directly, no social work referral needed. Subsidised places: Available for people 65+ via City of Edinburgh Council (monthly contribution applies). Get in touch with  Social Care Direct on 0131 200 2324 or ask a health or social care professional to refer you.
