Corporate Partnership Supporting LifeCare’s Work

This month we mark the conclusion of our 12-month Charity of the Year partnership with Baillie Gifford. 

Financial support from Baillie Gifford has helped LifeCare continue delivering free and subsidised services to older people and unpaid carers across Edinburgh at a time of increasing demand. 

Colleagues also contributed time and expertise, including undertaking the KiltWalk on behalf of LifeCare, volunteering at many events, supporting website development, advising on social media and fundraising, and assisting with photography, print and the creation of a “What is LifeCare?” film. You can watch that here.  

This is not the end of the partnership completely.  Five brave Baillie Gifford colleagues will take part in the Abseil Challenge for LifeCare in May and there’s still time to donate for their efforts here. 

Demand continues to rise, driven by an ageing population, increasing dementia rates and high levels of loneliness among older people in Edinburgh.
