LifeCare welcomes BBC to Cheyne Street Day Service

This week, we were delighted to welcome the BBC to the Cheyne Street Day Service!

The feature showcased  volunteer musician Johnny Collington, whose guitar and traditional Scottish songs bring comfort, familiarity and joy to our clients. Inspired by his own experience of connecting with his father through song after a dementia diagnosis, Johnny’s story reflects the wider work taking place at LifeCare; creating warm, inclusive spaces where older people feel valued, connected and supported.

During the visit, the BBC spent time with staff and clients, capturing how music can create meaningful moments of connection. Huge thanks to the team at BBC for highlighting the importance of the support we deliver – and to Johnny for giving up his time to make our clients so happy!

If you or a loved one would benefit from coming along to one of our day clubs, you can find out more about the services we offer here.
