LifeCare receives £34,000 grant from LNER’s Customer and Community Investment Fund

We are incredibly grateful to LNER’s Customer and Community Investment Fund for generously donating over £34,000 to LifeCare. The grant will cover the cost of our regular outings including the transport costs, and activities within our day services, and deliver dedicated support activities for unpaid carers in the evenings and at weekends.

These regular and reliable activities will deliver a multitude of positive physical and mental wellbeing impacts; improved connections, reduced isolation, increased confidence and motivation, providing something to look forward to; significantly improving quality of life and well-being. In addition, dedicated unpaid carers will benefit from having their own time to do something for themselves whilst developing their own support network; supporting them to maintain their caring role.
