Introducing LifeCare

Welcome to LifeCare Edinburgh. We specialise in Dementia Care, Home Care and in care for older people. We’re all about helping you to keep on living independently and enjoy the things that make you smile.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Services update from 1 July 2020

The Outreach service is operating in the community while adhering to current Government guidelines. New client enquiries are welcome.

The Help at Home service continues to provide essential shopping services with protective measures in place. As restrictions ease we are also extending the other support available. Unfortunately at this time, as our capacity is limited, new enquiries for household help will be waitlisted- those requiring help with shopping will continue to be prioritised.

The Café is now open for breakfast takeaways on Monday-Fridays, 9am-11am.

Our Clubs are currently closed and staff are supporting clients and carers by telephone on a daily basis.

Vintage Vibes successful ‘Biscuit and A Blether’ telephone based service supporting vulnerable over 60s is winding down at the end of July.  Vintage Vibes is preparing to shift towards socially distanced face-to-face outdoor visits by volunteers following Government advice in the near future.

The Venue is currently closed to customers but will re-open again as soon as Government guidelines permit. This means that the History Talks, Strollers and Foodies Groups are paused for the time being but will resume when it is safe to do so. However, the Conversations Group will recommence shortly but will meet online. Please check LifeCare’s Facebook Page (@LifeCare.Edinburgh) for more information on when this will happen.

If you would like to help us during this difficult time, your donations can help support our on-going service provision and would be gratefully received.
