We are excited to host this taster session with Karnsyarns.
In this taster session you will look at crochet basics; how to hold your hook and yarn and practice the basic stitch you’ll need to begin your crochet journey; a treble. Making trebles you will learn how to make a granny square. The humble granny square can enhance any blanket with beautiful colour and texture, as well as a plethora of other makes. Learning to make a granny square can provide an essential construct of beginner’s crochet and is an important skill builder.
We will also consider the importance of tension in your work and how you may use different weights of yarn.
Remember that in crochet it’s easy to take your work back and start again – relax.
The taster session will be held at LifeCare, in the café at 1:30pm-3:30pm on the 28th of June.
