We are thrilled to announce that we have started to safely reopen our three registered Day Clubs for LifeCare clients. Closed since March 2020, these vital services have been badly missed by our elderly clients who love coming for their usual activities, entertainment, catch-ups with friendly faces and good food. Our Day Club staff have worked tirelessly through the crisis, delivering over 4,340 support calls to over 80 clients but nothing beats face-to-face support.
Our Day Clubs help people to get out and about, keep active and stay connected. The Dean Club supports people with poor mobility and those who have become socially isolated. St Bernard’s in Stockbridge and The Cottage near Portobello both support people living with dementia. They have all been badly missed through the pandemic, so both clients and staff are delighted to get them safely reopened. …we can’t wait to see all the friendly faces again!
