We are delighted to have recently welcomed students from Edinburgh university medical school who have been working with our clients to develop their musical Play lists.
Play list for life was established as a charity by Sally Magnusson, broadcaster and writer, Music is a very powerful way to communicate with those who have dementia.
The students have been working with clients from St Bernard’s dementia club and The Dean club in individual small groups, to look at the music that has influenced their lives. Taking time to reminisce, to share stories and reflect on key events in their lives, where music has made an impact on them.
With the support from Tesco Bank we also have all the equipment we need, so that all our clients can enjoy listening to their play lists when it suits them.
