What’s happening: A group where we review and discuss articles which have been published in the press in the previous 7 days
Who it’s for: The group is aimed at anyone who is interested in local news, current affairs and would like to hear other people’s opinions, sparking interesting and varied conversations. So far we have discussed climate change, planning permissions, the demise of Scottish wildlife and many more.
Dates/Days of the week: Every Wednesday
Time and duration: 14.30 – 16.00, 90 minutes
Meeting place: Currently on Zoom (but when permitted in The Meeting Room, LifeCare 2 Cheyne Street, EH4 1JB)

What’s happening: A 1 hour talk by local volunteers and organisations on local history, and links with the wider-Edinburgh area. These talks have been running since January 2019 and have to proved to be very popular. The talk is followed by a quiz on a wide variety of topics, sometimes linked to the talk, sometimes it’s completely different.
Who it’s for: This group is aimed at anyone who is interested in local history and is free on the last Tuesday of every month at 3pm
Dates/Days of the week: Once a month, on the last Tuesday of the month. Dates for the 1st half of 2021: January 26th, February 23rd, March 30th, April 27th, May 25th, June 29th
Time and duration:15.00 – 16.00 , 1 hour
Meeting place: Zoom (until the Covid-19 situation improves)
What’s happening: A 1 hour walk in the local area with a splash of local history thrown in
Who it’s for: This group is aimed at anyone who would like to get out in the fresh air for a short stroll with a group of people and learn something new about the local area of Stockbridge (and in the future plans to go a little further afield)
Dates/Days of the week: Once a month, on the 3rd Thursday of the month
Time and duration:13.30 – 15.00 , 60-90 minutes plus coffees/teas

What’s happening: Talks on food and drink from Scotland and around the world, including tastings
Who it’s for: This group is aimed at those who would like to know a bit more about the various wonderful Scottish produce, information on food producers and the opportunity to do occasional tastings of food and drink
Dates/Days of the week: Once a month on the 2nd Tuesday of the month
Time and duration: 15-16.30, 90 minutes
