What did you do before? I worked as a carer within a nursing home
Why did you join LifeCare? I was looking for a new challenge and good working hours.
What does your role involve? I oversee the day to day running of the club, support the staff in their daily duties and manage referrals – engaging with potential new clients and their carers.
What is the best thing about the role? Seeing clients settle into our care, engaging with and enjoying the company of others – they often become firm friends – there is a lot of laughing and fun!
Why do you stay? We have a good work environment, staff are valued and supported and we have good team ethics.

What did you do before? My background is all in dementia care and mental health charities
Why did you join LifeCare? Over the years I have heard only positive comments from clients, family and carers about LifeCare, it’s a place I have always wanted to work
What does your role involve? Running daily activities to stimulate clients, bringing joy and a smile to their faces
What is the best thing about the role? I get to spend so much time with clients which I love, hearing their life stories and enjoying the humour. A smile on someone’s face is priceless.
Why do you stay? I feel supported and listened to as a member of LifeCare staff and I am part of a great team at The Cottage.

What did you do before? I worked as a bank administrator
Why did you join LifeCare? I heard good things about LifeCare and liked the working hours.
What does your role involve? Assisting clients with transportation such as practical support getting on/off minibus when picking up /taking clients home. Offering various activities- quizzes, ball games (indoor), reminiscing, art and craft, music. Helping clients with their tea/coffee breaks and lunch.
What is the best thing about the role? It’s a lovely environment, a great team, and I love getting to see client’s confidence grow thanks to our care
Why do you stay? I love the job, great clients, boss and team. The Cottage has a lovely homely feel about it.
