When did you join LifeCare? 2007

Why did you join LifeCare? I wanted to work in a day centre and when the job was advertised in LifeCare I applied and was lucky enough to be accepted. I haven’t looked back since.

What does your role involve? I am responsible for the supervision and support of our 3 Care Workers. I manage referrals and arrange visits for new clients and their carers. I arrange 6 monthly care plan reviews for each client and their carer. I basically oversee the smooth running of St Bernard’s club.

What is the best thing about the role? I work with 3 fantastic Care workers who work together to ensure the clients enjoy there day at the club. It is great to see our clients laughing and enjoying the activities. When the carers tell us that their loved ones are always in good spirits when they get home from the club, I know that we have done our job well.

Why do you stay? I love working at St Bernard’s club. I work with a great team, and we all work well together. It’s a great atmosphere in the club and its fantastic to see the clients enjoying themselves.
