By volunteering at LifeCare, you’ll bring isolated older people and those living with dementia; friendship, fun and fulfilment. In return, you’ll experience all of that too.

What’s more, since we’re one of only two charities in Edinburgh with The Queen’s Award for Voluntary service. This rare accolade means we ensure our volunteers get as much out of their experience as they put in.

Give time

Nothing’s as rewarding as volunteering for us. Because helping a client do even the smallest thing, like getting out to the park or playing games in one of our dementia day clubs, can make all the difference.

Give expertise

Whether you’re brewing tea in our community café, supporting a fundraising event or making our office run smoothly, the most important thing you’ll also be making is older people happy.

Get experience

We welcome students who need work experience as part of their course and will pay travel costs to and from LifeCare.
